Look what’s happening during lockdown!
Hot on the heels of the remodelling of the bunkers protecting the 1st and 3rd greens, the 18th green is now getting the ‘treatment’.
Specialist contractor Martin has been modelling bunkers for 30 years and is now making a great job on the Cavendish course. Martin’s artistry is clear to see and today he was awaiting the approval by architect/designer Jonathan Gaunt before completing the work.
Martin has worked on many other MacKenzie courses and is enjoying working on the ‘Inspiration for Augusta’.
The new bunkers are really stylish and although today the 18th looked like a scene from the Somme, confidence is high that Martin’s magic won’t desert him!
The bunker work is part of the club’s centenary strategic plan leading up to 2025.
