Both Cavendish ladies teams got through to the Derbyshire County Silver & Bronze Divisional Finals held at Mickleover Golf Club this week. Sadly the weather wasn’t kind to them but this didnt dampen their spirits.
Cavendish Silver Team were against Erewash GC, who were a very strong team with a number of low handicap county players. Our team put up a fabulous fight with one winner, Lou Mardapitta and the other team members losing their matches on either the 17th, 18th or 19th holes. A disappointing results for them after such a fight, but they did fabulously well and we’re all so proud of them.
The Bronze Team were playing against Ashbourne GC and all of our team had to give shots. They came in victorious with 5 winners.Lady Captain is so proud of every member of the Women’s Section who have taken part in the matches over the last five months to get them to the Finals. They have really put Cavendish on the map.
Can’t wait to see what happens next year!!
