A really friendly Mixed AMAM between Cavendish GC & Chesterfield GC, took place last week at Chesterfield.
The format involved two players from Chesterfield playing with two players from Cavendish as a team in a stableford competition with the best male and best female score on each Hole.
It was a great format, enabling members new to golf to experience a different course and to play in a friendly competition without too much pressure. It also enabled friendships between clubs to foster.
It was a fabulous day out with a great atmosphere, lovely food and many new friendships forged between the two clubs.
The friendly format was thoroughly enjoyed by both clubs; so much so, tit is to be repeated next year!
Clare & Vernon McGarey were part of the winning team with 89 points, 14 points clear of the runners up. They were on fire…. Les & Terri Gould came next on a card count back.
Very well done to both couples.
