Cavendish Golf Club has been very active in encouraging women and girls into golf and is now a registered signatory of the R&A Women in Golf Charter.
Terry Hayward and Chris Campbell have just received the formal congratulations from the R&A, along with the official certificate which will be publicly displayed in the clubhouse.
As a signatory, Cavendish is committing to creating a positive change in golf, one which will create a more inclusive culture that encourages more women and girls to thrive in the game.
Cavendish Chairman, Terry Hayward commented:“We are absolutely committed to attracting more women and girls into the game and it is a specific objective within our 5 Year strategic Plan. Through our Membership Group, we have already organised events such as Prosecco & Putting and Chipping and Chips along with workshops with Club Ambassador and Tour Professional George Bloor. We hope that these initiatives and our continued commitment will help women and girls to access the game and feel comfortable as golf club members”
