The Cavendish Women’s section were pleased to welcome eight ‘new to golf’ ladies to the clubhouse on a cold and dark January evening recently.
With outdoor golf off the table, the new golfers were invited to take part in a coaching session in the club’s swingroom with our Pro, Liam. With the introduction to chipping under their belts, they then moved onto the clubhouse where some fun chipping and putting competitions had been set up to test their new skills.
A fun night was had by all and the evening was rounded off with bowls of chips for everyone!!
Even better, all the new golfers are keen to get playing, and are signing up to beginner group lessons once the weather improves.
