The drive and determination demonstrated by our amazing Cavendish staff and volunteers has been brutally tested over the winter months – February has been the wettest on record!
The weather might have been wet and windy, but the specialist work teams have stuck to their agreed tasks to complete the course development work on schedule.
The focus is on the centenary anniversary in 2025 and completing these development projects will ensure Cavendish looks and plays its very best to delight the anticipated record visitor numbers.
Centenary Bridge
The 18th hole is a great finisher and will be made even more impressive with the Centenary Bridge. Not only will it look spectacular, but it will mean buggies will be able to pass through with ease and greater safety.
New bunker improvements to the 7th and Buggy Paths to the 7th and 8th
The new buggy paths are now complete which will make it easier and safer as well as minimising damage to the course.
New Teaching Facilities
The state of the art Swing Room is almost complete and will bring technological wizardry to help golfers better understand their swing … but once on the course, remember … you still have to actually hit the ball!
New mats have now been installed on the practice area.
Many thanks to all those working on each of these projects.
Let’s hope we have plenty of sunshine soon to lead us into a wonderful 2024 season.
