Cavendish Golf Club and Buxton Soroptimists have come together to support Crossroads Derbyshire, a local charity providing safety for women and girls in the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales.
Following a recent Soroptimist International briefing about Domestic Violence Awareness education in Post 16 education, Lady Captain Pam Brindley, decided she wanted to take action and support a local domestic abuse project.
Within a week Cavendish ladies collected loads of toiletries (see main photo), which were presented to Crossroads Derbyshire. Also presented was a donation of £100 to support the work undertaken by the charity in aiding local women who find themselves in difficult circumstances.
