The three captains welcomed everyone with hot drinks, mince pies and mulled wine.
Cavendish was bathed in sunshine, a welcome change following this wet winter.
Junior Captain Oscar Roberts teed off first and smashed it down the middle.
Lady Captain Andie Curtis then teed off hitting the fairway to great applause.
Gentleman’s Captain Jeff Haddon teed off last and made the right semi.
The combined total distance was 596 yards. The distance guess was won by Jeff Roberts. The money going to the captains charity Melanoma Fund.
Following the drive in, we had a shotgun start 4am over 13 holes. This was won with 71 points by Ash Greaves, Joe Bowers, Lyndon Horwell and Ian Hickling.
Post round we were served with chilli and vegetarian chilli.
