Born in Glossop, North Derbyshire, Simon first took up golf at the age of 9 and by the age of 15 was playing for the Derbyshire Junior Team. He progressed to play for the Derbyshire mens’ teams before going to London University where he studied for a Sports Science degree. After graduating he decided to pursue a career in golf. Simon first turned pro in Richmond, Surrey before re-locating to Buxton.

Simon has over 18 years experience teaching a wide range of golfers, from beginners to those with low handicaps and men, women and juniors alike. He has the teaching skills and the latest computer technology to help anyone to get started or improve their golf.

Over the years Simon has taught at many of the primary and secondary schools in Buxton using the Tri Golf plastic clubs for young ones and the Golf Extreme clubs for teenagers, which have encouraged many children to take up golf.
