Rachel’s Waiting!

Hot on the heals of his success at St Andrews, Mr Captain shone in Saturday’s Scratch Cup & Devonshire Trophy prestigious club competition.
In difficult conditions, with a challenging course set up, Neil Flynn shot a gross 67 and a net 62.

Whilst it’s ‘just another day at the office’ for Mr Captain, he is also working hard behind the scenes to raise money for his nominated charity – On course Foundation for wounded ex-service personnel. To this end he deployed his ‘shock troops’ (Rachel) on Saturday, in a surprise initiative to extract £5 from members for the chance to win a 4 Ball voucher to play Hollinwell GC in Nottinghamshire and worth £360!

Members will know that, just like Arkwright in ‘Open All Hours’, Rachel rarely fails to extract the ‘readies’ … and always with a smile!
Member Julian Wildoose was pictured in a daze on Saturday, after being suitably relieved of his £5 ‘donation’. He was seen staggering out of reception not really knowing what had just happened and consoling himself with admiring the smart new lawn area and playground for Harvey!

Please support the charity and help this excellent charity and basically … just give in!
