The Pro Shop
The Pro Shop is managed by Simon Townend, Cavendish Golf Club's full time PGA professional. Simon progressed through several County and National teams before turning professional in 1995. He commenced his career in Surrey and has won over a dozen professional tournaments.
Having been at Cavendish for eight years, in 2006 Simon was made head Professional. During his time with the Club, Simon has been the busiest teaching professional in the High Peak area, giving lessons both at the Club's excellent facilities and at Peak Practice, the local driving range. Simon uses several teaching aids to assist him, as well as a GASP swing analysis computer system. Simon enjoys teaching golfers of all standards and has gained an excellent reputation for curing and building swings.
The Shop
The Pro Shop at Cavendish is at the centre of many of the Club's golfing activities. Cavendish is a member of TGI Golf, a buying group of some 200 shops throughout Britain. This ensures members and visitors alike can buy a wide selection of quality products at competitive prices.
We are a registered fitting centre for PING, TITLEIST and PGA Collection, so anyone can have their hands on a set of made to measure clubs within a week! Alongside this we offer a wide range of clothing, shoes, balls and accessories to suit any golfer.
The professional and his assistant, Becky Simpson, are on hand 364 days of the year to welcome members and visitors alike to add to the experience of playing Cavendish.
