Riccardo’s ‘Taste Of Italy’ – in ‘Sunny Buxton’
Cavendish Golf Club has just announced exciting new arrangements to provide improved clubhouse hospitality services to members and visitors for 2019.
Leading the team will be experienced restaurateur Riccardo Olivieri and his partner Christina.
Many Buxton ‘locals’ will remember Riccardo who used to own Firenze on the marketplace from 1980 until 1995. In 1995 Riccardo and his family moved to live in Italy, just 40 miles from Rome.
Firenze was a hugely popular Italian restaurant serving great food with a superb atmosphere and some of us still remember the legendary ‘Calzone with extra tomato sauce! And the Vanilla Ice cream with extra home made hot chocolate sauce!
Ummmmmmmmm! I can’t wait to for the Italian Evening!
Mr Captain, Neil Flynn was on hand to provide a warm welcome back to ‘Sunny Buxton’ for Riccardo after a long (23 year) absence.
Riccardo, Christina and their team are already busily getting things sorted for their official opening and I know Cavendish members will all wish them every success with their new venture. Cuisine will be a combination of traditional English, with some Italian flair! Traditional golfers will be catered for, but speciality events and special occasion catering will also be provided.
The views from the picture windows and balcony looking across the magnificent MacKenzie course is nothing short of spectacular.
So Cavendish View is an inspired choice of name for the new business.
