GB&I Top 100 Fun Courses

 Cavendish 31st in new poll

The awards just keep coming for Cavendish with a NEW National Club Golfer ranking.

National Club Golfer is the UK’s largest golfing publication with over 66k copies distributed to all golf clubs. In May we featured in their Top 100 courses in England (55th position) and they have just published a new list of their Top 100 FUN Courses as a handy supplement, which includes all 100 selected courses in the whole of  Great Britain and Ireland.
Cavendish features as Number 31 and is recognised for the sheer golfing enjoyment provided by Alister MacKenzie’s most authentic course. Once again we are in excellent company:
39 Royal St Georges, Sandwich, Kent
38 Gleneagles (Kings), Auchterarder, Perthshire
31 Cavendish, Buxton, Derbyshire
25 Kinsbarns, St Andrews, Fife
21 Machrihanish, Cambletown, Argyll
20 Kilspindle, Aberlady, East Lothian
12 Sunningdale (Old), Surrey
8 Old Head of Kinsale, Cork, Ireland
  5 Lahinch, Clare, Ireland
  3 Royal West Norfolk, Norfolk
  2 Cruden Bay, Peterhead, Aberdeen
  1 North Berwick, East Lothian
Feedback from Cavendish Open Week was overwhelmingly positive, with so many of our 1000 visitors falling in love with our wonderful Mackenzie course, which Cavendish members know is always such FUN to play.
Thanks to the NCG panel of 29 serious golfers who made their selection of FUN courses and rated Cavendish so highly.
Copies of the Fun Course supplement are now available in reception … and will be available to see by all 700,000 golfers at members clubs.
Let’s hope that golfers reading the list will be encouraged to play Cavendish as they attempt to ‘tick-off’ all 100 FUN courses.
