On a glorious Friday evening (11th April), Members gathered by the Centenary Bridge to witness the unveiling and official opening by our wonderful Honorary Member Eddie Birchenhough.
Eddie was born and bred in Buxton, first caddying at the club in the 1950’s, he went on to become a golf professional for some 65yrs and was the Head Professional at Royal Lytham for 27yrs, managing and hosting 4 British Opens during his tenure.
Cavendish holds a deep place in Eddies heart and we are extremely fortunate to have such an ambassador who continues to promote and champion Cavendish Golf Club to as wide an audience as possible.
We look forward to welcoming Eddie back to Cavendish later this year.
