Cavendish ‘enduring classic’
Golf World has just published their Top 100 courses in England and we are delighted that Cavendish has entered for the very first time at 93. This puts Cavendish among the top 5% best English clubs!
GW introduction: “Tom Doak describes the 10th and 11th as the best MacKenzie back to back par 4s in the world and it’s easy to see why. It is our highest new entry and is, in truth, overdue elevation to the Top 100 for an enduring classic”.
There are just 10 courses that appear in all of the following 9 counties:
Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, Leicestershire, South Yorkshire, West YorKshire, North Yorkshire and Humberside.
Cavendish, The Allwoodley, Moortown, Ganton, Delamere Forest, Beau Desert, Fulford, Notts, Sherwood Forest and Lindrick.
