A very proud Captain (Brian Doig) and Greens Committee Chairman (Peter Freeman) accepting the framed award on Wednesday after the roll-up.
Peter played tribute to the ‘tireless work put into the club over the past few years by our exceptional greens staff, outstanding volunteers and enthusiastic committee members to get the course in such great condition’.
Chairman Alan Doig added:
‘The quality and value of golf now offered at Cavendish is simply magnificent and as good as most members have ever experience at Cavendish’. ‘We are particularly proud to be the ONLY course in Derbyshire to appear on the NCG list of Great Britain’s Top 100 Courses’
Copies of the National Club Golfer magazine were received this week and many members have now seen the brilliant printed publicity we have received as a result.
National Club Golfer magazine is the only magazine in the UK that is distributed to every golf club in England, Wales and Scotland free of charge. It is also the highest-circulated print golf publication in the country, with a circulation of almost 60,000.
Based in Leeds, the magazine is aimed squarely at real club golfers who are the heartbeat of the game in Britain. National Club Golfer is renowned for the quality and depth of its golf equipment, news and course coverage.
Following a big re-design in mid-2010, the magazine is now the most well-read golf magazine in the UK.
