Who’d be a green keeper?

But the water table is definitely rising!

They say that enterprising people ‘adapt to change’ and that’s just what the greens team have needed to do during these last few weeks while we experienced some pretty atrocious weather! We’ve now had 150 mm rain in 4 days!

The ‘early summer’ and lovely warm conditions seem a long distant memory and have been replaced by wet and windy weather. With Storm Gareth just past, now Storm Hannah seems determined to test us, so realistically the signs are not looking good for much play this weekend.

Warwick has just sent these images from the course – the rivers are now full and looking like raging torrents! Still the greens staff are still out on the course pressing on with the planned course work, so spare a thought for them.

Keep an eye on the website for course conditions tomorrow – but don’t expect too much!
