The last 2 Sundays have seen Cavendish GC Teams progress into the next round of 3 separate inter-club competitions.
Sunday 27th April
Cavendish played Cheadle @ Home in the MDGA City Glass Foursomes, the team represented by Matt Kirk & Dan Taylor, Mr Captain & Steve Whalley, Nick Whyte & Adam Bradley, Mike Collinge & Neil Bolton, Alex Mardapitas & Mike Gould, Jack Haddon & Jacob Evans and Jeff Haddon & Mike Oakes cruised to a comfortable victory by 6 games to 1.
Sunday 4th May
The Archie Preston team faced a second away match in a row in the MDGA Mixed Foursomes @ Sandiway GC.
In a highly competitive match no less than 6 of the 7 games ended up being settled on the 18th with one of those going down the 20th !
The Cavendish Team of the Captains, Frances Reynolds & Chris Unsworth, Fiona & Neil Flynn, Wendy Goldstraw & Neil Bolton, Annie & Neil Curtis, Danielle Banks & Matt Kirk and Rachel Child & Rich Graham eventually emerging victorious by 4 to 3.

Also on Sunday, the Cavendish Taskers Team (Gents over 50s) played a home tie against New Mills GC who were last years “plate” Winners. On this occasion, Cavendish were represented by Alan Webster, Adam Bradley, Michael Gould, Steve Whalley, Ian Hickling, Stuart Whitchurch and Mike Oakes. The team winning by 4.5 matches to 2.5.

Unfortunately, on Tuesday 22nd April, the Cavendish Seniors Team lost some very close matches away @Manchester GC in the 3rd MDGA event, eventually losing 4 to 1.
